as well as fitness for use. The Quality Assurance
Manager is responsible for the preparation of the
quality control manual, and monitors the system
program therein. The Quality Assurance Manual
defines duties & responsibilities of all
departmental heads and their link with the Quality
Assurance Manager. The Quality Assurance Manager is
authorized to exercise his power to implement
systems & programs laid down in this manual
effectively. He is to be associated in all
manufacturing activities such as material
procurement, manufacturing technology, technology
development, sub-contracting, and site erection to
ensure code compliance.
The Quality Assurance Manager organizes quality control & inspection at various stages of production based on approved Quality Assurance Plans / Inspection Test Plans in coordination with third party inspection agencies to achieve the highest quality standard to code requirements. He has the freedom to impose hold on production activity at any stage to prevent noncompliance with specifications, drawings, and codes. Any hold imposed will be resolved by him with design concurrence or with concurrence of concerned authorities, and reports directly to me.
In case any technical dispute arises between Design, Production, and QA/QC Departments, the subject will be referred to me for a final decision. While resolving such disputes, code and additional requirements as per the Client & Consultant’s specifications will be the main criteria of consideration.
