Where heavy engineering becomes hardware
Fabrication, welding, NDT, heat treatment and mechanical testing — the complete technical backbone behind every G. R. Engineering delivery.
Large vessels, columns & process equipment
Shop fabrication of pressure vessels up to 6.5 m diameter and 425 MT single-piece, and columns up to 6.8 m diameter and 110 m long — across three dedicated fabrication bays at Tarapur works, including a 27 m × 160 m heavy bay.

Controlled welding for code-critical joints
Welding technology is a dedicated function at Tarapur works, with qualified procedures and welders for carbon steel, low-alloy steel, stainless, clad, duplex, super duplex and titanium construction — under ASME Section VIII / Section IX discipline for 'U' and 'U2' stamped equipment.
- Qualified WPS / PQR across CS, LAS, SS, clad, duplex & titanium
- Weld mapping, traceability and staged hold-point inspection
- Supported by in-house NDT and mechanical testing at every stage

Fourteen in-house examination methods
A separate radiography enclosure, gamma ray sources (Cobalt 60, Ir-192), advanced ultrasonic methods and leak testing — all in-house, all under the quality plan of each job.
